Red face NJ/PA Barn Cats In Need of Homes!
Hello all,

A barn in Schooley's Mt., NJ I used to ride at is shutting down and they need homes for their barn cats! Vet reference required to make sure they will get their boosters and a good home!

There are currently 6 cats in need of homes.

Squeak - 8-9y/o large black male. Very timid but will warm up to people if given time, especially when food is involved! Squeak is named for his high pitched meow. He also has a white spot on his chest. Squeak is neutered and has had his rabies and distemper/FELV vaccines but will need a booster FELV in 3 weeks time. He also tested negative for both FELV and FIV.

Freckles - 6-7y/o medium orange tabby male. VERY Friendly with people and other cats and lets you pick him up for cuddles. Named for his nose which has black freckles on it. Freckles is neutered and has had his rabies and distemper/FELV vaccines but will need a booster FELV in 3 weeks time. He also tested negative for both FELV and FIV.

Tutu - 9-10y/o medium grey calico female. VERY friendly and sweet with people and other cats. Loves being cuddled and pet. Tutu has a respiratory infection and is currently on meds to help it clear up that need to be administered 2x a day but she can only get 1x at the barn. Her head is always tilted to the side because she had ear mites (which have been treated). Tutu is spayed and has had her rabies vaccine. She also tested negative for both FELV and FIV. Didn't get distemper/FELV vaccine yet because we didn't want to overload her system with the antibiotics for her respiratory infection.

Paintbrush 11-12 y/o large grey calico female. VERY friendly and sweet with people and other cats. Thoroughly enjoys rubbing up against people and being pet. She is the mother of Tutu and Freckles and possibly everyone else except Pounce. Paintbrush was spayed 6 years ago. Paintbrush has had her rabies and distemper/FELV vaccines but will need a booster FELV in 2 weeks time. She also tested negative for both FELV and FIV.

Uncle Bob - 7-8y/o medium black male. Tested positive for FELV but is very playful and active. Was recently attacked by what we think were feral cats that come for food at night and has an open wound on his neck that is being treated with antibiotics. Friendly and will walk right up to you for attention but sometimes can be aloof or playful when you try to pet him. Had his rabies vaccine and is neutered. Uncle Bob needs to be placed in an INDOOR ONLY home as either a solitary cat or with other FELV+ cats, like Pounce.

Pounce - 3-4y/o medium brown tabby male. Tested positive for FELV but is extremely sweet and loves people, cuddles, and general attention. Pounce is not neutered yet, but will be to increase his quality of life. Had his rabies vaccine. Pounce needs to be places in an INDOOR ONLY home as either a solitary cat or with other FELV+ cats, like Uncle Bob.
