I like my good old mutts. IF I were to go for a purebred, Maine Coon is first on my list. I've had a couple, and have a mix now, and they're just awesome. It's like having a dog without having to walk one.

Well, I've only ever had your average mut cat, until now. I recently got my first Sphynx and am pretty well hooked! lol I wouldn't mind a Peterbald or Rex as well.

I would love to have a Maine Coon cat one day, but I just don't think I could ever justify spending that kind of money for a cat, when there are millions in shelters that need homes.

On a side note, most cats are not "mutts" like dogs are. Cats have only really been selectively bred for the past 100-200 years so most cats are still the "basic model" so to speak. Most cats are either DSH(domestic shorthairs), DMH(domestic mediumhairs, or DLH(domestic longhairs). Purebred cats only really make up 3% of the population and the people that own these cats really wouldn't let them interbreed with other breeds of cats, so the liklihood of a mixed breed cat is pretty darn slim.

I would like to have a Ragdoll one day.
Don't know if I will tho. I'm kinda a sucker for those shelter cats.

I don't think I could keep a big cat like a ragdoll. I'm too used to small, skinny, ugly street cats. The uglier the better.

My favorite is the real skinny looking Siamese kitties, although my three cats are about as far from Siamese as you can get. I like Siamese because they are beautiful and are feisty! I love cats with an attitude. They are also loud, and nothing is more precious than "talking" to you cats and having him talk back
